PHATS President’s Message – Spring 2018
Hi All. Happy Spring!
It?s that time of year when the 2017-2018 season is coming to an end and some are preparing for that long journey through the Stanley Cup Playoffs and others are tying up all loose ends from the season and making plans for the summer. Best of luck to all of those who are involved in this year?s playoffs.
With summer comes our annual conference and this year we are heading south to Orlando, FL. Please make your plans to join your friends and colleagues June 19-24 at the Orlando World Center Marriott. As the final plans are being made we look forward to another great conference with all of you.
I want to thank the NHL, NHLPA and all of our vendors and sponsors for your continued support. You are the driving forces behind our meetings and we appreciate all you do for our societies. We look forward to working together for many years to come.
Congratulations to Robert ?Rip? Simonick as this year?s inductee into the PHATS/SPHEM Hall of Fame. We all know how much Rip means to our groups and his legacy has touched many along the way. Please plan to attend the Awards dinner as we celebrate the remarkable career and most importantly the man, Rip Simonick.
I would be remiss if I didn?t give special thanks to Anita Ramsay and Natalie Grant for all they do. Their dedication and commitment to our societies is truly amazing. In my two years as PHATS President, I have a new found respect and admiration for both Anita and Natalie for the work they do on a daily basis. Without them, Pete Rogers and I would be lost!
A very special thanks goes out to Pete Rogers of the Nashville Predators. Pete and I have worked very closely on several projects over the past 2 years and I appreciate his guidance and professionalism. Thanks Pete!
Please register for this year?s meeting and I look forward to seeing all of you. Please feel free to share any concerns you may have as we move forward.
See you all in Orlando.
